For about a year now i have been taking the contraceptive pill, changing different types from microgynon to yasmin due to harsh side effects. Recently, ive been put on this new pill, Loestrin,which i feel is working just fine. Ive been on it for about 4 months now. Although, i stopped taking it for a month as i wanted to see if i still needed it. (As i got put on the pill due to heavy periods, terrible cramp, etc) For the contraceptive side, i started taking it after missing a whole month. Although, after about four days i started bleeding. I thought it was just my body having to get used to it but this has lasted longer than my usual period, it's been ongoing for about a week and a half now and its driving me crazy! I'm continuing to take my pill as i would normally every day, at the same time hoping my body will get used to it. It seems never-ending though. I'm wondering if anyone knows why? Also, i believe that Loestrin is known as a very weak contraceptive which isnt as effective as others such as microgynon and such, could this also be a contributing factor?
