A few weeks ago me and my boyfriend had sex, we used a condom. I was a little a paranoid with it being my first time so i took the next choice/morning after pill as a 'just in case'. Ive heard a lot of people start bleeding after they take it however i did not. Its been two weeks since I took it. My period was due today, but i didn't get it. It feels like I am on it...im bloated, my breasts are really sore, and I have lower abdominal cramps. I've been feeling sick for the past couple of days too. There is no sign of my period just a white discharge. I'm really paranoid that I may be pregnant, should I be worried?

The morning after pill can completely mess up your period for the next month. Since it is 95% effective if taken within 24hrs you should probably just wait it out. Your period should happen eventually when your body sorts things back out.

You used a condom AND took the morning after pill - the chances of you being pregnant after all of that are VERY slim. Even if you hadn't used any protection at all, the chance of you being pregnant would STILL be a LOT lower than not pregnant. Getting preggers isn't easy in the best of times, and with two methods of birth control thrown on top? Almost impossible.

Put your mind at rest. The above poster is right, the morning after pill can mess up your cycle, and the effects can be different for every woman. I've taken the pill once and had my period as normal, whereas a couple of friends of mine had spotting and delayed periods.

In the future, keep using condoms each time and you should be fine. Consider charting your BBT as added protection (to be honest that's the only method I'm currently using myself).

    Relax!

Thank you both for your answers! i feel so much better after reading that.
I actually didn't take the pill within 24hours either, i had a 72hour window in which i had to take it and i took it a few hours before that. I still took it in the given time frame, but Ive been worrying whether or not it would still be as effective. And since i was ovulating that day ive been going even more crazy.
Thank you again, i guess i will just wait it out!

It is 75% effective when taken within 72hrs. However you also have condoms which are over 90% effective and the failure rate is of them breaking, coming off, etc... If the condom stays on and you use it properly there should be no chance of pregnancy.
