I am 40 with two kids. never been on birth control (except for the few times I took plan B), hardly ever have cramps with periods. Periods have seemed a little bit heavier the last two years.
The past two days I feel cramping in lower back and it radiates around to lower front and even into upper thighs. It will last 30 minutes or so and then sort of go away. I've been taking tylenol too. And then a few hours later it might come back again, then go away, and come back. It actually feels better when I walk around, if I lie down it feels worse.
I have been sick with a cold and a low fever the past few days too and I am pretty sure I am ready to ovulate.
Do you think this is ovulation pain? I am actually supposed to have an ultrasound soon- was told to have one because I told doctor my periods seem heavier- i tried to have one today, but there are no appointments
help? it feels like I'm going into labor
If it's as excruciating as labor pains can be, it might be wise to go to the ER. But I have had cramping that felt just like labor must be and the doctors just gave me birth control to help even them out... although it doesn't sound quite the same since it was like that from my first period to when I got onto birth control, and you've clearly been menstruating for a long time.
