Thread: lump of flesh

I'm suppose to start my period in a few days but today a quarter size lump of flesh fell out of my vagina. I tried to google search answers but everything I was finding had pain associated with it, but mine was not painful. Does anyone know if this is a semi-normal thing that happens before periods? Or could it be caused by the birth control? Should I see/talk to a doctor about this?

I've had that, I thought I mis carried or something as it even had blood vessels!! I rang the doctor and she said it didnt sound like anything to worry about, but if it happened again to go and see her. It hasn't happened again in 8 years so far =)
