Hi, so on March 21 I had a d&c done and bleed for a couple days after that, maybe a week long of bleeding, and then nothing since. Well, I recently started my period on April 18th, but it was not that heavy nor was it as long as my periods were before the pregnancy and d&c. Is this normal after a d&c? I do not want to call my dr about this because sometimes I feel I call him too much when I have weird things happen to me that turn out to be normal.

Has this happened to anybody else? Is it normal?

It is normal to resume your periods after having you have healed from a D&C. One of the common reason to have a D&C is because the endometrial lining is building up too thickly and not shedding completely during menstruation. If that was the case it stands to reason that your period would be lighter with that corrected.

I had a d&c done because of a blighted ovum...not sure if that would cause my period to be lighter...
