50 pounds in 7 months is unhealthy in many ways... if this has been recent i would say its related to not getting your period
i would suggest start taking care of your body and im sure everything will equal out
Hi. I'm 19 years old and I've been getting my period regularly every month.
But starting this January, I stopped getting my period.
At first, I didn't think much of it and supposed that I just missed that month.
But it's already April, almost May and I still haven't got my period!
I have a feeling that it's because of the weight I've gained this year. I gained about 50+ lbs in like 7 months.
So I went to my family doctor and she saw my weight gain in the records and told me to just loose weight. She also told me that since I'm still 19, my ovaries and etc aren't fully matured.. -_-
I also took a blood and urine test and the results came back with everything normal.
I don't know what to do next. I'm scared to just wait till I loose weight because my friend is telling me that I might have PCOS.
I do have a little bit of hair loss and little bit of acne but I've had that for like 2-3 years, even when I was getting my period regularly.
Should I go to a gynecologist? I don't feel comfortable getting all those tests done...
Please help![]()
