I am 26 years old and my periods are pretty regular (every 25-30 days); they always last 5 days. My period was supposed to have ended one week ago, but I am still experiencing bleeding - it is not light enough to be considered spotting but not heavy enough to be a full blown period. I have to change my panty liner every 6 hours or so. I am not experiencing any cramping, bloating, or other signs of a period. I got a copper IUD a year and a half ago, which can cause spotting or heavier periods, but that has not been the case for me. My first few periods after getting the IUD were a bit heavier and more crampy but they still lasted only five days. Since then my periods have been very normal. Also: I am 100% sure this has nothing to do with sex or pregnancy. My boyfriend and I both have roommates who don't give us much privacy (they can't take a hint) so we have not had sex for several weeks. Also, we are in a monogamous relationship of several years so this shouldn't be STI/STD related. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I'm planning on making an appointment with my gyno, but the wait time can be a few weeks.
