Late period related to quiting smoking?

Hi, I was just wondering if quitting smoking can affect your period. Mine is about 10 days late now, but I took a pregnancy test at about 7 days late and it came out negative. Last month, my period was about a week early, and then I quit smoking about a week after it was over. Any thoughts?
