What made my periods more regular and less painful was eating all organic food. It took about three months for this to be the case but after about three months of eating organic food, I noticed that the pain of my periods was not as severe.

That is what my sister said. She is totally health obsessed and was already on organic food. She swears it helps with her period. Also she uses the Allay. She won't go near pills and such.

Allay Patch, well, Allay Relief Patch. It sends out electrical signals that pretty much cure menstrual pain. She has two or three of her friend hooked on it already.

Unhappy know how you all feel

I'm new here. I found this thread because of my own being worried. You see I'm at day 32 of my period. Now up until the past year I was very much regular. I was on birth control a while back and ever since I got off of that I was very regular. In January 2008 my mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. From there I guess the stress threw me out of whack. In July 08 my mom past away and ever since then my period has been late, early and all the in between but still would last the norm 5 days and I'd see it again a month later. I missed my period in March and April this yr. I took preg test because my boyfriend and I have been trying o get pregnant. In early may i began to spot. It was extremely light at first. would last a day and go away for a few more days and come back and go away. Then its like the flood gates opened all of a sudden. I just figured since I didnt have a period for 2 months it was heavier until it didn't stop and still hasn't for a month. Its so bad that I went to the beach with my boyfriends family. before I left the house I put a tampon in, arrived at the beach and hr later and not only was my clothes covered but there was a spot on his seat. Thank God For beach showers and bathing suit wraps. Some days it seems like is slowing down but then all of a sudden it'll hit. I've noted the times I soak through my tampons are when there is really big clots involved. its horrible and gross. I'm a team captain for a Relay For Life team and our Relay is on June 26. 12 hr walk with about 800 participants and 400 or more being women with 3 bathroom stalls and no showers. I've never need double protection but I'm surely getting it now. I've never worn a super tampon a day in my life and now I'm bleeding throught them. Has anyone had this and actually got it to stop

For worried.teen, when i was your age I roughly had periods lasting three months at a time. I eventually got past it, and I'm comforted now knowing that it can be common for the first few years to be irregular.(Though I don't know if it should have been THAT irregular) Though it may seem like torture to withstand. If it still continues to bother you, you can go to a doctor.

However, I am suffering again. I'm now 19, and I have now had 4 weeks of prolonged menstruation. Sure, I've dealt with this a long time ago, but from then until recently I'd had an abnormal 2 day period every 2 months. Which was a pretty good deal. For it to be prolonged again is really stressing me out. My mother and grandmother have had similar problems before me, however, no major problem was ever found with them. I wont go to the doctor, because it cant be afforded. I'm not on birth control, and I've never been sexually active. I'm hoping it's just a hormone imbalance as they once thought I had before. But I've never read of anyone who's been very similar to me. Can anyone offer any advice?
