Sall unkown lump :/

Please help!

Ok, so I'm only 13 but I know my periods are coming soon and I know that it will be round about this time in the month because I get monthly head aches and stomach cramps etc.

This month I realised a small lump, just about where my ovaries might be? Being me I completely freaked out and assumed the worst... cancer

I actually want to cry right now because I typed into google 'lump on ovary' and auto complete came up with cancer.

I haven't told any one yet because for a start I don't want to worry anyone if it's just a sign that my periods are coming or something, but I don't want to leave it because if it IS something serious.... well.... you know...

Can anyone help me? I'm DESPERATE and terrified

Hello sweet,

All sorts of things happen to our body when we are about to get our periods, including lymph glands, or swollen lymph nodes which fight off germs and other foreign substances... seemingly more swollen than usual.

Perhaps wait until your period is finished, then if it is still there, tell your Mother and go and have it checked by the Doctor...

It's easy to read things on the net and panic honey... But, even if it was a small lump possibly cancerous, it usually is benign and can be taken out, there are usually other symptoms when your body is that ill.
