Hey all. I've been searching for some insight about my random symptoms...maybe you ladies could help me. In Aug 2010 I was diagnosed wih crohns disease after a year of painful symptoms. Trying to get a doctor to give me a second look was extreamly hard. I was given 3 or 4 CT scans a couple of months apart(anytime I went to the ER for some help I would be given a CT scan which I didn't know is equal to having about 20 chest x-rays). The last time I went to the hospital in Aug I was given a CT scan and a blood check which showed severe anemia. I was admitted and given 2 pints of blood. Since being diagnosed I've been on 3 rounds of steriods, lialda and 6mp(a low dose chemo drugs to help suppress the production of white cells) The last time I saw my GI he pronounced me to be in remission and symptom free although I had lost 10 pounds in 4 months.
Since being in "remission" I've begun having other strange symptoms. The entire time having crohns issues I've been having UTI symptoms and yeast infection symptoms. Yet again getting a doctor to give me a second glance is rather hard. I sort of feel like they prescribe me stuff without actually checking me. Anyway I've had "yeast infections" monthly for roughly a year now. On top of it now my periods are becomming increasingly painful(crampy but not to painful that I can't handle) and they are beginning to go longer than normal. I recently got concerned when the first time EVER I bled for 2 days outside of my normal menstral cycle. My period ended 4 days before (and there wasn't any "leftover drainage") Then out of nowhere I started bleeding like I do at the beginning of my cycle (more than usual spotting...much more, about enough to soak a light days pad and was a medium red color) The bleeding lasted for 2 days with slight cramping then stopped but the cramping has continued on. I made an appointment with an ob/gyn but of coarse they can't get me in until Oct. I took a pregnancy test to mke sure it wasn't "implantation bleeding" and it came up negitatve Any advice o anything is WELL appreciated
