I'm 16 and my urethra seems to be in my vagina. I know it is impossible but when i was on my period i tried to use a tampon and every time i put one in i suddenly needed to go to the toilet to urinate. Once urinating the tampon would get pushed out by the force of the urine. Does anybody know if this is serious and will it affect me getting pregnant? xoxo

My guess is that you are not getting the tampon all the way into position. This could create pressure and give a feeling of urgency to urinate. You should not be "pushing" when you urinate. Women should urinate by relaxing the muscles, males work a little differently. Voiding strongly apparently can cause women some problems later on.

It might be a good idea to get a well woman check and talk to the doctor or nurse practitioner about all this. They can guide you through inserting a tampon and knowing what it feels like when it is in correctly.
