I've always been very regular on my period. I usually get it about every 4 weeks and it's VERY heavy, sometimes uncomfortably heavy and I get bad cramps during the 1st and 2nd day. I'm 22, not on birth control, but thinking about getting on it. My boyfriend and I have been together a year, and usually use a condom, but a lot of the times we aren't protected. He has came inside of me most of those times, and I've never become pregnant. Lately, I've realized how stupid I've been and have been wanting to be careful. But the past 2 months, my period has been a little weird.

It's still REALLY heavy the first 3 days, but the past two months it has completely stopped on the 3rd day, going from heavy to nothing...and then it'll come back a few days later and last a few hours with regular flow...and then I'm done for the month. I never spot. I noticed a little spot today, but it's completely done now.

I'm not trying to get pregnant, but I'm wondering if I'm infertile...or if I'm just going to have a really hard time getting pregnant when the time comes...or could I be pregnant now, even with these short extremely heavy periods? Usually when I worry about being pregnant, which has happened a few times..it messes with my cycle. If I worry and stress out, I'm usually late, or it's just not a normal cycle.

Any advice would be good.
