    Exclamation One Day Period

I am a 24 year old woman in a long distance relationship. I see my boyfriend every other weekend until I graduate from school in May. I used to be on birth control, but I have been off for about two years. My periods used to be really bad in high school, but they seem to have regulated.

In the six months we have been dating and sexually active, I have experienced heavier periods. This month, I was due for my period on Saturday, and sure enough, it started light, like it always does. However, that is all that happened. My period usually lasts 5 or 6 days, but it was light for a day and it has since stopped.

I should mention that I have been under an abnormal amount of stress the last month or so, and my allergies have turned into a cold with pain in my sinuses.

I am really afraid that I might be pregnant, but my boyfriend and I are extremely careful and have never had a condom break. Is it possible that the stress, or even the cold could have stopped my period?

    ANy ideas?

I've read on many websites whilst searching for solutions to my own menstrual problems that stress can affect your period, like how long, how often and how heavy. If I was in this situation, I would take a pregnancy test just to make sure, and then if it comes back as all clear, see if your periods regulate again since it could always be a one off. If they're persistently different it could be worth seeing a doctor or gynecologist.

    I hope this helps
