    Not getting normal period
    Hey ladies,

I'm about to start my 3rd month on Lo estrin 24 fe tomorrow and since I started this pill I have not had a regular period. This pill is different because instead of a week of inactive pills this one has four. Today is Wednesday, My active pills ended on Saturday and I should have gotten my period but nothing came until Tuesday (yesterday) and it was extremely light flow, dark color, bad cramps and last night I had a clear slimy discharge.
So far today I have nothing. I'm not sure if my body needs to get used to this pill for a while longer before my period gets normal but it's become very frustrating.
Since I've been on the pill for 2 months now my boyfriend and I do have unprotected sex but I've been a little paranoid so he finishes withba condom on.

Why is my cycle like this and is any part of it normal? I was just at the dr 2 months ago, do I need to go back? Please advise!

Our cycles react differently to birth control pills. What you are experiencing sounds completely normal. If you are taking your pills on time every day, you don't need to worry about how protected you are. You guys don't need to use a condom unless you want the added protection against STDs.

FYI I'm going to delete your other thread as we don't allow multiple threads on the same topic.

Hey, I am, I take my pill everyday set to my alarm on my cell phone, if anything maybe a few min apart every night. I was just worried because for this past cycle I basically didn't get my period at all. Is there a (roundabout) time frame for when this should all even out? I have experienced light spotting before but nothing similar to my regular flow.

Sorry about the double posting, I wasn't sure if this was more of a BC question or menstrual question

It's possible that you'll have a super light period for as long as you are on this particular pill. So what you have now could actually be your "normal" period. Know what I mean? But it can often take a few months for a body to adjust to a new pill, so give it a few more weeks and see how it goes. If you're not comfortable with super light periods then I would consider switching brands, if after a few weeks you're still having a really light period.

Hmm. Yeah, I guess I'll just watch it and keep a journal of what I get and when. Thanks, Mes T!
