Thread: Questions about Menstrual Cycle/ funny discharge colours

I'm 17 years old, and my last period was somewhere close to July 4th. In around August 10th my period was quite light and bright pink (Spotting?) and two weeks later I received a brown discharge colour. Nothing has happened in the month of September.
Can anyone help me? Is this a sign of pregnancy or infertility? Should I go to the doctor?
I've taken two pregnancies tests. One about two or three weeks ago, the next one at a pregnancy center in my town. They both came out negative. I have no STD's.
Help, please. My boyfriend and I are really worried.

Irregular periods are normal at your age, it may just be irregularity or a change in your cycles.

Of course you didn't tell us a. your cycle length (and if you're normally regular), b. when you had sex, or c. what birth control method(s) you use, but I can guess that pregnancy seems unlikely if this is menstruation and if pregnancy tests are negative,and nothing here suggests infertility.

I would also ask, you say you have no STD's - when was your last STD test and are you practising safer sex (if so what safer sex methods are you using - e.g. condoms,femidoms,dental dams, testing only, etc.)?
