Troubles with tampons..
I've been having troubles with tampons. I'm a virgin, and 19 years old. I have tried several times to insert it, and I do know how to correctly insert one. My vaginal opening is very small; around 0.5 cm. Whenever I try to insert a tampon, it hurts, and I barely even get it in. I'm not sure why it hurts.. is it possible that my hymen is covering too much of the opening? I enjoy swimming, but I feel like I let the team down when I can't go to the meets because Aunt Flo happens to come and go at the wrong time. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Have you experimented with different types and sizes? That makes a world of difference. You can go to the different websites and request samples so that you don't have to spend the money on ones that are not going to work. You are probably going to want to try the slender ones. Also try different positions when inserting them to find out which position works best for you. Be as relaxed as possible because if you are tense it is going to cause problems when trying to insert as well.
Also, you may just be a woman that cannot wear a tampon comfortably. It happens. Experiment around though a bit more.
