So, I've been on birth control for about four years now to help with crazy menstrual cycles due to an ovarian cyst. Occasionally, I'll get some pain in my left pelvic area, but nothing serious ever seemed to come of it...until yesterday. (oooh..dramatic!)
But, seriously, I woke up late for work yesterday and, to make matters worse, I started my period two weeks early shortly after arriving at my workplace. I thought that the earliness of my period and the crazy cramping that accompanied it was due to stress since I've been pretty good about taking my pills every evening at the same time. Then I started to feel a bit nauseous and lightheaded when checking the racks of movies (I work at Family VideoMovie lovers love Family Video!) It's not uncommon for me to feel this way when I have a bad period or forget a couple of pills right before my period.
So, today, I'm sitting in my last class and it feels like I've got knives shoved in my left ovary and I need to have a bowel movement asap. I managed to get out of there in time and I got crazy sick. Then I felt intensely tired (I actually fell asleep in my car as soon as I parked in my driveway after making the 30-minute commute home.) I felt so sick I had to leave work early tonight, much to the disappointment of my boss (who is most certainly not too happy with me for only working half my shift).
I'm definitely going to the doctor tomorrow, but I'd like to know what I should ask him about when I get there. I've done some searching and it could be a cyst rupture, cancer, or a handful of other things. I'd like you to help me figure it out, please.
Things to know about me:
I am 18 years old.
I can honestly say I have NEVER had sex.
I manage to fill my life with as much stress as possible.
I suffer from depression, so fatigue and whatnot is not uncommon for me.
I do have a family history of cancer, but no one has ever had ovarian cancer.
I am a bit scared about what my body is doing at the moment.
Thanks!
Thanks for all your help. Turns out it was, indeed a cyst rupture and all is well now.
