Thick Brown discharge during menstrual cycle

Hi
Around the time I am due my period, my breasts were tender as normal, and i got really bad cramps, more so than usual (I do cramp on my on my first day, but this was worse than normal). However, I have little blood, but more thick brown discharge, almost like old clotted blood. It is now the third day, and I am getting a bit of fresh blood and still a fair bit of thick brown discharge.

I have looked online and have read about spotting and brown discharge being an early sign on pregnancy. Is what I have these early signs?

Just to mention, I haven't had sex, but my boyfriend and I have done pretty much everything else, so there could be a small possibility that I could be, but am completely unsure, before I go to the doctors I just wanted to get some opinions on here.

Considering you haven't had sex, it's unlikely. But I, like you, have been having brown discharge; the difference is that I am sexually active.
I don't think you have anything to worry about, but if it goes on for 3 more days while you're having your period, I would consult a doctor.
