    Default Possible Endometriosis?

I have always had trouble with my cycle from the very first day it started when I was 14, I am genetically thin so that might have something to do with it too. My cycle has always been irregular, and I've never had sex/don't plan to until I'm married. Anyways, I read that your cycle is usually irregular for about the first year or so after it starts, so I gave it time to regulate itself, it never did, it was super heavy and lasted for 2-3 weeks straight, this was when I was 15 and 16.. I of course, told my mom all this and she took me to her OB/GYN. I and my mom explained everything that was happening, and she (the dr) put me on BC. I've been off and on BC.. I'm currently off BC to see if my cycle can regulate itself (hasn't so far) but my cramps are worse now that I'm off BC?.. I suspect that I have Endometriosis or something like that because at first when it started I never ever had cramps, and then I had them once, and then they got worse, I used to be able to take 2 Advil and go on about my day. Now, over the past 4 years, they've gotten a lot worse and I have to lay down with the heating pad on high and take 3 or 4 advil's and sometimes I even have to take Tylenol 3.. and I don't think this is normal...I am now 20, will be 21 in March... I read that women have the worst cramps in their 20's but is that really true? Does anyone with Endo see any symptoms of Endo in me?? I have a very high pain tolerance and also every month I get chills and insomnia and am nauseated with my cycle as well. I've even thrown up before because I got so dizzy. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I forgot to mention I also get cold/hot sweats and feel like I'm going to pass out and get super dizzy almost every time.. The cramps are a combination of a knife stabbing pain and a deep deep achy pain.. and the stabbing pain is always worse on the first day and pressure helps control my pain too, if I press on that area with the heating pad then it really helps.. what does that mean?

I had endometriosis, and it is only discovered through laproscopic (sp.) surgery. It is worth looking into with your doctor. Best of luck.

The past 2 days I've been ache and sore down there and have a slight back ache.. I am ovulating so that might be it? Or could it be the endo?

Yes, my some of my symptoms were exactly they same - the stabbing pain especially. The heating pad rang a bell! I used to have to sit bent over everything hurt so bad. I had major blood clots as well. Get checked, it worth it for peace of mind.
