I'm 17 I've had periods since I was about 14, although they are light I still can't cope with them.
I'm 5 stone five pounds and doctors told me that i shouldn't have them until I'm at least 7 stone.
I've always hated anything that has linked me into being a girl, I consider myself a boy so when I have periods I hate myself about 10x what I normally do. I would have tried to start testosterone treatment but I'm very scared of needles.
I'm not on any contraception although it was suggested for me to go on the pill to start my periods which I refused.
I'm Iron deficient as well so it's very draining for me.
What can I do to stop them? I've cut protien out of my diet and not that i'm 'on' at the moment I just want to starve myself.

Starving yourself is counterproductive. Cutting protein out of your diet will inevitably make you a very unhealthy person and could lead to MUCH more severe issues.

There are hormonal birth controls you can get on that will eliminate your period for long periods of time. Refusing hormonal birth control, but then turning around and literally starving yourself to eliminate periods seems contradictory doesn't it? Are you afraid bc is unhealthy? I promise you that starving yourself is far FAR more deterimental to you than any hormonal bc you could take.

You're not living in the old days. You're living in a society in which being transgendered is becoming more and more acceptable. Look at Dancing with the Stars Chaz (formerly Chasity) Bono. You are embarking upon a time in your life in which you can make the choice to live as a man if you so please. But you'll never get to that point if you starve yourself over a menstrual cycle. Your body NEEDS protein. That is not because you're a girl, it's because you're a human. Your body NEEDS to be a certain weight......not because you're a girl, but because you're a human.

Right now, you cannot change the body you were born into. My suggestion for you is to 1, consult a therapist. NOT to try to convince you you're not transgender, but to establish a background of therapy which will inevitably be required in the future if you decide to do any sort of gender changing. Also, I think you need it for your own mental health right now. Then I'd suggest considering your hormonal BC options at least temporarily. It makes no sense to refuse hormonal bc then turn around and deprive your body of what it needs to survive.

i refused it because they told me it would make me have a period every month and stronger than what I was having and the protien is targeted because i'm a vegetarian (including fish/ sea food) and I'm a very fussy eater and always have been also I've never dieted unless you count the sort of random skiping of meals which I only do to punish myself when I'm on like now
