I could really use some help. I've been on birth control for about 3 years now, starting out with Depo then recently switching to Apri. The issue is the terrible cramping that I've had for the past few years. I spoke with my doctor and went through an ultrasound and was told that it's due to having a really thin uterus lining, caused by the random bleeding and spotting. Currently, on my birth control, the white pills that are supposed to have me start don't do anything, yet once I start back with the red pills, my cycle starts. So due to this, my doctor is also having me double/tripple up on the red pills until my cycle stops. Is this healthy? If I don't double up at least, my cycle will last anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks which is extremely inconvenient. My cycle was never off track, except when I switched from depo to apri. First pack I got through half my white pills and started, second pack got through all my white pills and started on red and same for the third pack. So no, I'm not late at all. Now back to the main issue of the cramps. What can I do to thicken the lining of my uterus? I get terrible cramps daily with my cycle, to the point where I wake up in tears, and go make tea and take many pills during the day to keep the pain levels down ranging from ibuprofen, headache medicine (caffeine helps with the blood restriction), even up to loritab so I can get some sleep. I'm new here, so I really hope I posted this is the right section, and also that I provided you with enough information to get some helpful answers. Thank you so much (:

I don't have any information about the BC but I do have severe cramps as well. Mine have gotten worse over the past 4 years, I have to use the heating pad on high all night long and can't sleep without it unless I take 600 mgs of Advil or Lortab (I've had to take it a few times, mainly at night). I was also off/on BC for the past 4 years because my cycle was lasting too long (several weeks), and the BC helped regulate me but it also made my cramps worse, so I switched to a different brand. I'm currently not on BC now but once I go to the dr. and explain everything to her I might get back on BC. (switching from a old dr. to a new one soon). I've been doing research to see what my problem may be before I go to the dr. (I'm still going to go but I want to have a idea of what to ask the dr. etc). Have you heard of Endometrosis? I'm thinking that's what I have, either that or Ovarian cyts.. not sure which one. What does the pain feel like? Stabbing? Deep ache?

It's a mixture of both, stabbing and deep aches, it comes on all of a sudden and just like you, I usually result to taking loritab to get through the night, and then end up waking up taking two ibprophins and drinking green tea to get through the morning. I have never heard of those before, but I will definitely do my research. I had bad cramps for a while when I was younger, it's been maybe 3 years and now their back ): Thank you so much for your reply, hopefully this all gets figured out soon for the both of us.
