I'm 23 I have being trying for over an year now to become pregnant. I have always had irregular periods. And about 3 yrs ago I was diagnosed with pcos. They gave me metformin but it makes me sick so I never take it correctly. Is there any chance I can get pregnant without having a period my last menstrual was in Aug2011 and before that it was Jan2011. I had a test done last month and it was negative....But is there any chance ill become pregnant without having my period??
Is there a chance? Yes. But is it likely? No. But that's not the end of the story. Women with PCOS are able to get pregnant very often. The key is learning enough about your body and how your cycles work to effectively communicate with your doctor about it. Then, he/she can advise you on the best possibilities of you getting pregnant. For starters, you need to be charting your cycles every month. Then in the event you're in a month where you ARE ovulating (therefore having a period) you will know it and can be sure to do the deed. Its very important to discuss your desire to get pregnant with your doctor. If they disregard you, find a new doctor.
