Thread: could it be because of the morning after pill?

3weeks ago i had unprotected sex with a guy, i took the morning after pill. a week later i had unprotected sex with the guy again but he pulled out . a week later i had what i thought was my period, but it was early and it was only spotting and it didnt even last a day.
could it be because of the morning after pill or should i get a pregnancy test?

It could be from either. From the way it sounds it would be 2-3 weeks post the time you had unprotected sex or 2 weeks after the time you didn't take the morning after pill. The morning after pill can cause an early period, spotting, or late period, but it could also be spotting from implantation bleeding. I would say if you don't get your period within two weeks of when your normal period should arrive, I'd take a pregnancy test. Maybe you should look into getting on a birth control pill you can take daily. But also keep in mind (and I'm sure you know this) the morning after pill does not prevent STD's.
