Hi, I'm having issues with my period being irregular and only this cycle and the last have I been experiencing issues with my period.

Last cycle, my boyfriend and I tried to have intercourse while on my period, and I know that can stop your period, and it did, then we had sex a second time and it started again.

This time, I wasn't aware of the date, and we had intercourse again, and this time my period started in the middle of intercourse. And it was very light, which is unusual for me. The day after it started we had intercourse again, and it stopped it close to completely, there has been slight spotting the last few days (it has been two days since the intercourse happened.)

Am I pregnant or did the intercourse mess up my period cycle?

Actually that is not true. Intercourse plays no role in physically stopping or starting your period. If your period is there it is there, it is not a continuous flow of blood so it can seem to stop and go but that is just the way it was designed to work. Orgasms from sex though can alleviate pains from periods and orgasms can help relax muscles in general however the actual act of intercourse of penis in vagina will not alter whether or not you have a period or slow it down or make it lighter/heavier etc. The reason more blood can occur during sex is simply because the cervix opens up due to the relaxation of muscles and the blood already present in the uterus will flow out, once the relaxation of the cervix stops it will close up and no blood. Same idea happens when you have spotting during the day while at work or school, it is just that opening and closing of the cervix at random times in the day.

A period is going to be irregular if there is a hormonal reason for it to be irregular. Periods are controlled by hormones and those hormones can be altered by diet, by stress, by sickness, by birth control pills, and by the body simply deciding "you know what I am going to mess things up this month". Spotting is not at all uncommon so this can simply be spotting, the time to be more concerned is if this irregularity occurs over and over for the next few cycles.
