Unhappy Periods stopped and other probs

This is probably going to be a bit confusing so I must apologise now. My periods have all but stopped for the last 6 months. I only have the occasional bleeds, a day or just a morning here and there and there seems to be no real cycle (I've never been regular). I'm currently withdrawing from an anti-depressent that messed up my periods last time I tried to stop - except that time I had one continuous, major heavy period and excruciating cramps for 8 months.
Also I am not sexually active and still a virgin (27) but when I do clitoral masturbation, straight after that I bleed, again this is only a couple of bleeds. After the last time I had problems and the docs poking and prodding me I'm loathsome to go back through all that again. Plus with the depression I have aggoraphobia so going to the doctors for anything is next to impossible, even more so with intimate probs.
I'm just desperately searching for any advice??
    Thanks, Fifi

A close friend of mine has been on many antidepressants and I have seen what changing meds can do so I totally understand how difficult it can be.

Were you on an SSRI? It's a known fact that SSRI's cause sexual disfuntion. This must mean that it's having some effect on hormone production. Maybe it's the change in Seratonin? I am not too knowledgable in that department, but I am pretty sure that each time you stop taking the AD meds, your sex drive is slowly coming back. Meaning that there is an increase in hormones. ANY change in hormone levels can throw your cycles out of balance. If you have seen a gynecologist and there appears to be nothing wrong, then it sounds to me like it's just your hormones trying to balance out. In which case, you just need to wait it out. But if you plan to go back on AD meds, then your cycles will depend on the effect of the new meds as they are all different.

I hope this maybe helps a little.
