    Question No period

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some insight on a problem.

I've had pelvic cramps for about 4 years now. (Wow, 4 already!!). I've been to four different doctors and they haven't been able to say or do much. Its almost as if I get brushed off and I'm making it up. Well the pain is not getting any better and its getting frustrating. I did go see a specialist once, but he just put me on birth control pills to basically mask any problem what was going on....but it never did mask anything. Still had pains....I don't have insurance at the moment so I can't really have anything done.

BUT, another problem is my lack of period. Since Feb of 2007, I've gotten my period once. In June I went to Planned Parenthood to get myself on pills and to see if they could help me or see if there was a reason why I hadn't gotten my period in 4 months. Nothing. They couldn't do anything but give me pills.

So I started taking the pills as usual, got my period the same day I went to Planned Parenthood and I thought that I would be cured. Well, I haven't gotten my period since again. Its now September I know something isn't right. Wether I'm on the pill or not, I should be getting my period, right?

All this is very confusing and I need some advice.

Thank you for anyone who can help me!!!!

Default Response to no period since feb 2007

You really need to go see a specialist in gynecology. I have the same problem. I haven't had a cycle since feb either. One doctor says I have a large mass of tissue on left ovary (noncancerous) and wants to remove it. Another doctors says I have a small cyst on my left ovary. I am going back tomorrow to ask more questions for the second doctor. I have had severe pain every month for week around the time my cycle suppose to come and I'm not pregnant. I will keep you posted. In the meantime, please go see a specialist to do a transvaginal ultrasound, MRI, or CAT scan.
