Default What are period cramps like again? I forgot.

    Hello everybody.

I have a slight bit of hope today maybe you can help me out with a query.

I haven't had a period in a little over a year and about 1.5 months ago i started taking agnus castus a natural herb deemed to help menstruation cycles become regular again.

For the past 3 days I have been having cramps which I recall as being the same ones when you have or are about to get your period. I hope to goodness they are!

I was wondering if you could help me to remember the feeling.

I have this funny squeezing feeling in the area under my belly, both sides where my ovaries should be. Its constant all day and it's a bit annoying when I stand up... however I welcome the pain if it is my menstruation.

P.s I never suffered much from my period, not like other stories I have heard.

Sounds like you might be ovulating....and if that's the case you should expect to start 12-16 days from now. Usually though in the case of ovulation, you feel the cramp more distinctly on one side or the other.

Have you spoken with a doctor about your lack of period? There are a variety of things that can cause a women to stop her menstruation... it's important to discover which of those things applies in your case. Abnormal menstrual health is not something to be taken lightly.

My worst period pain manifests as a feeling of "overstretching" in my vulva and perineum.

The pain of menstruation is generally going to be from the uterus rather than the ovaries, since that's where the actual muscle tightening is going on. I second the idea that you're ovulating (or than something unusual is going on with your ovaries.) An easy way to confirm this would be to buy a pack of ovulation tests. They're in just about any drug store or pharmacy section of larger stores next to the pregnancy tests.

Yes I've been to my doctor twice and he says I'm healthy and just have to wait.. which wasn't the response I was looking for. I was also offered to go on the pill to get some regularity but I dont want that.

Did he do a blood test and test your vitamin levels? Hormone levels?

Yup, everything. He told me that I have to wait and see as I'm young and it is apparently normal for this to happen.. (?) well... I am hoping that now I will get it as I really do feel these pms cramps.
