    Ok i am 19 years old... I dont a get a period...Never have by myself. The dr. used to have me on the pill to get it but i stop taking it cuz i dont like to take pills,,,,i was wondering if i could have serious health problems when i get older and if it could harm me in any way... Im very concerned

    Hi Cheryl777.

    With no periods, you may have fertility problems, which could make it more difficult for you to become pregnant later, if you choose to. You could also have a greater risk of developing osteoperosis. And it seems that you are stressed which could be seen as another side effect. I can understand your not wanting to be on pills because of the possible hormonal side effects, but it's very important that you talk to your gyn about your concerns. He/she should give you a complete picture of what's happening and what alternative treatments may be best for you. Talk to your doctor.
