I am new to this site. Ever since I started my period it has been irregular. Friends of mine thought I should get checked out so I went to a local planned parenthood and they told me I had Iron Deficiency Anemia(IDA) which is basically low iron in my blood stream. I also told them I don't have my period everymonth so they put me on a week of birth control and after that was up I got my period. But since then I didn't have health insurance. I just found out today(12/18/07) that I will be getting a letter in the mail that I have insurance. I am going to try and get birth control so i can become regular. What caused me to be irregular? I asked my mom and she said she was irregular until she was pregnant with me(i am the oldest). I was wondering is there anything else I can do to make myself regular. Please any information on irregular periods or IDA I would be thankful.
