Question irregular, no period for a year

Hi, I'm 25 years old, and have not had a period in a year. When I was a teenager, my period was regular, then my mother had me to get on birth control. I was on birthcontrol for two years, then quit taking it. Haven't taken any kind of birth control in the past nine years. In 1999 I started having my period every 3-6 months, and in 2003, I got really stressed and depressed and had a period that lasted for 33 days. I have had my yearly check-ups, and they come back normal. Can someone please help.

It sounds to me like you might have a hormonal imbalance. You might want to ask your doctor to give you a hormone panel to find out. That is not something that they normally do unless you ask for it or are having severe problems. I think that would be a good starting place since all of your other exams were normal. Let us know what you find out!
