I am reposting this because I got no responce to this in another forum, so I am taking the chance of posting it here for better results....

Okay well here is goes, lol. A while back I was having issues with bleeding for a month at a time for my periods, well the doc gave me provera. Which worked wonderful and I stop bleeding. I had a few more regular periods and then it happened again. I called the doc and he called me in provera once again, and the bleeding never stopped. Well I finally got fed up with it and made me an appointment, which I went to today 2-11-08. But last Thursday 2-7-08 was my last day of provera and the next day I just up and stopped bleeding which was wonderful.

Anyways when I went to the doctor today he said everything looked and felt fine but he wanted to do a complete pelvic ultrasound because the linning of my unterus may be to thin, which exsposes the blood vessels and allows for more bleeding than normal. Okay so question is: Has anyone ever had this or know anything about it? I have looked on the web and have not really found out to much. I am just kinda freaking out here, I have the ultrasound appointment for Tuesday 2-19-08. If ayone knows anything about this I would be so delighted if you could explain it to me.. Many Thanks

how was your ultrasound? I don't know a lot about the thinning of the uterus but I do know that a way to thicken the wall is by taking the pill and not getting your period. When you have your period your uterus wall sheds, if you skip it, it will become thicker over time. It is a common practice for women with endometirosis to skip their periods... for other reasons. Just a thought but it should work. Your doctor will probably be able to tell you more after your ultra sound results. Good luck.

Tiffany I just logged onto this site because like you I was looking for some answers on the thinning of the uterus. I have searched high and low and have found nothing. My 17yr old daughter was told by our gynecolgist that her uterus was too thin. She was placed on the Depoprovera shot 2 months ago and has been spotting since. This is a very scary time in our lives, right now & I just don't have the answers to all her questions and the doctors are telling us that they will redo a pelvic ultrasound in 4 months to recheck her uterus. Please let me know if you have found anything out on this...

Smile I have been going through the same thing

    Hello,
I actully know how you feel because I have kind of been going through the same thing. I have had abnormal bleeding for the last few months and it is driving me crazy. I show that this was a few months ago for you so hopefully everything worked out and you can give me some advise. I actully was breast feeding for a year and taking a light birth control. When getting the exam from my doctor she said that the birth control with estrogen will help my lining get thicker. It has been almost a month and it hasnt started helping yet. Now I dont know if it is the break through bleeding from the bc's or still the same problem. The doctor told me to wait about 3 months but that is a long time for me to wait. Well, I am just babbling and not sure if you will even be able to give me a messge back but can you let me know how things worked out for you?

I posted earlier about taking the provera earlier well could not bring myself to take those birth control pills. I thought I cannot have babies any way so what would make me put that in my system. I went back to the doctor and now he told me"your usterus is thining" and I got on the internet to research. I cannot find anything on the subject unless it relates to women that are trying to get pregnant geesh. I am not trying to get pregnant but am scared to death of thining of the uterus Help!!!
