    Default PMDD and Risperdal?

I sporadically have severe emotional swings accompanying my PMDD, and have recently (this cycle) started using Risperdal in really low doses (0.25mg) to control the irrational and explosive nature of these mood swings. I'm already on 90 mg prozac/day for depression.

Has anyone else tried Risperdal or any other antipsychotic in ultra low doses to manage these symptoms? If so, what has your experience been?

No Im taking Lexapro but Ive only just started, did anyone else find that before they found out what was wrong they were depressed with not knowing. I spent years in CBT trying to find out what was wrong with me because I didn't cop that there was a pattern to my bouts of madness, I couldn't work out why some weeks I would be fine and others I would go loola. I was so stressed and depressed in therapy trying to get to the bottom of why I was behaving so irrationally. I went back into my past and disected it with a fine tooth comb and couldn't come up with anything. So relieved now I know!!!!!!!
