Hi, I'm new to this website, but I was hoping for some advice.

I haven't had my period since December 21, 2007. I've taken multiple home pregnancy tests, pregnancy tests at the doctor's and blood tests. All negative. I'm 25 and in good health.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since June 2007 when I went off the birth control pill. I've had regular periods until January.. it's now 2 weeks into March and still, nothing.

I've consulted my doctor numerous times about this and he has told me that he doesn't want to intervene until I've missed 3 cycles (I'm on day 82 since my last period, so 90 days is coming up soon).

I've been reading that stress can effect menstruation. 2007 was a really rough year for me, emotionally. So far 2008 hasn't been much better, but I've talked to my doctor about this as well and I have been on anti-depressant meds for a little over a month now.

I've tried really hard to push not having a period/not being pregnant out of my mind. The meds seem to be working for other things that have been hard for me to let go of, but still, my period is non-existent.

I can't help but get worked up about not having my period sometimes.. I don't know how to not stress about it. What else can I do? Has anyone else gone through this?

Sorry this is so long, but I just don't know what else or who else to vent to...

    Thanks

-Also, I have an appointment to have a pap smear/well-woman's check up in a couple of weeks.

Hi Jilly. It does sound like you could be pregnant, especially seeing as you've been regular until January. But, you're right, stress can effect menstruation and also.. have you done any research into the anti depressants you're taking? A side effect maybe missing a period or two. Keep us updated and good luck.
