anymore advice on my last post-"Why haven't I got my period in awhile-15-help" ???
I am so very grateful for the people who have helped me in my crisis. But I was just wondering if there is anyone else who has an opinion.
For anyone who didn't read my last bulliten, go read it, please. But I'll try and sum it up here:
-no period since early January
-Never had sex, but has done a few other things
-few pains in lower abdomen, on both sides, even sometimes in random spots
-whitish darinage-had it before, but still wondering
-don't want to tell mom about this ****...she will be weird
I think within the next week I am going to book an appt with a doctor about this-but I'd like a little heads up on what to expect. Actually, I'm quite afraid/ grossed out by doctors, especially about down there, but I guess I have to do what will make me better. I just will tell my mom to wait in the waiting room, because a doctor is already enough!!!
Its weird, because I'm sooo comfortable talking to my boyfriend of about one year (APRIL 10TH...YAY) about this. He is really concerned about me, and always asks me what he can do to help. I love him so much.
So if you read this, don't just click away, like many people have been doing. PLEASE HELP REASSURE ME I'M OKAY! Thank you soo much.

listen honey, i know your scared, but you really have to go to the doctor, dont be worried if they ask you to undress your bottom half so they can examine you, there use to it, and dont be imbarrassed, they see every womens bits, eventually, every woman gets smears done, so just dont you worry, they probable wont even want to see down there any way,i cant tell you whats wrong, but you can join sites where you get to ask a doctor a question, this may help you to rest your mind, just type in ask a doc, and you'll go to web sites, ive never used these sites, but i have been told that they can be very good, please dont worry honey, will you keep us all up to date on what the doctor tells you, i know you'll be fine, hope you get bet soon love, take care,

Thank you so much. I know that doctors are used to things like this-its just that I am not. I know that I will not be cured/ diagnosed until I go see a doctor. Even though I have been iregular since I started a little over two years ago, this time is a little different. DO you think the doctor will put me on birth control? How can I persuade my mom into letting me get it? I know it will make me more consistent monthly, and so I can actually know when I'm going to get it.
What is a smear..? What does it do and how is it done?
I'm so glad that there are people out there who will listen to me and make me feel better. I will FOR SURE keep you posted on what happens. I will hopefully get into the doctor within a week or two.

A pap smear takes cells from your cervix to check for things like cancer. You don't need it until you're in your 20's, or if you're sexually active ... my gyno said that you don't need it until a few years after you first become active, but other doctors told me differently. It's not painful, but uncomfortable.
The problem is that there are many different things that could be wrong ... or it could be nothing. Only a doctor can tell you. It might be a long process. Hopefully if your mother knows you're in pain and worrying, she will let you take whatever the doctor gives you. In some states, a girl can get birth control without the mother's permission. But if you're not one of the lucky ones in those states, there's no accounting for a mother who won't help her daughter. I know how that is.
Good luck!

So I take it I won't need a pap smear for awhile, okay. But yeah, I really need to go in because I'm worried. I know my mom will take me, but I really don't think she wants me on any medication. Knowing her, she'll think that I'll become a ***** if I go on BC. Which is not true, by the way.
So I guess I'll make an appiontment within the next day or two. Ew.
Thank you soo much for your insight, I really do appreciate it.

does your mother know that you have been having these problems, if she is against you having pills, try really moaning that your really sore, just every day, go on about how sore you are, and if you can do it, start crying, no mother wants to see there daughter in so much pain, if you really lay it on thick, she'll be calling the doctor straight away, and beleive me, if they doctor says pills is the answer, well pills it will be, your mother wont argue, if she knows its going to stop the pain, and put your periods back in order, as for smear tests,as the person said earlier, you get them done every i think its 3 years, from 20 onwards, im not really sure what they do as i dont as i dont pay much attention, they get a thing like how can i describe it, its like a round vunnel, they push it right in to you, until they reach your cervics, then i think its something like a cotton bud, or something, they put it in the vunnel and take a wipe of your cervics with it, and thats it done, they send it away to the lab to check for cancer, as i said i think thats what they do, i never watch them do it, as i never look down to see, but i do see them geetting every thing ready, and thats just the best way i can describe it to you, its not sore, just uncomfortable, you'll see when its your turn, now go and start crying, and hold your belly, and tell your mum its really sore, something is wrong, and keep us in touch, good luck,

Thank you soo much for responding!
The weird thing is, is that when I was getting ready for school this morning, my mom asked me if I had gotten my period yet, because she knew awhile ago I was supposed to get it, but hadn't. I told her no, and she looked concerned/worried (the kind that makes you think "oh ****, what's going through her mind"). She said that she had to go to the womens health center for God knows what, and that she thought I should go, too. I told her yes, that I really wanted to get my period in order because I'm so irregular. Now this is when she ****ed me off. She said that no matter what I probably wasn't ever going to be that regualr, and that you can never predict exactly when to get it. But I said I wanted to be able to atleast know within a day or two of when its suppsed to come. I don't think she got the hint about birth control...
But the thing is, is that I got my period when I was a little after 13, and the doctor I was seeing said that if I wasn't regular or didn't get it soon, she would want me on birth control. My mom immediatley said I didn't need it. Back then, I had no idea what BC even was.
But now, I do know I really do need it, so I can feel good about myself, be regular, and all the benefits that come with it, but my mom still might argue. I just NEED a way to beg my doctor to persuade my mom to letting me get BC.
This will be hard.
But thank you soo much for your ideas, I will complain about it, because it really does bother me that much. I just hope my appiontment will be SOON, because the sooner I get in, the sooner my stress (for the most part) can be put to rest.

If you see the doctor by yourself with your mum in the waiting room and he/she suggests BC maybe you could explain that you don't think your mum will be happy and ask if you can bring your mum in just for a few seconds and the doctor can explain why he/she is putting you on BC.
I remember when I first stated taking BC and my mum found out, she was like omg do you have a boyfriend and gave me a horrible look that made me feel dirty. I was so embarrassed. I stopped taking BC, I was only on it for exams, and just now the doctor gave me BC again and this time my mum understood.

Ahh...thank you. Thank you everyone.
Well, as of yesterday, I have gotten my period again. I did talk to my mom about it before, and she just told me to wait. Great advice, huh? She should be a professional! (sarcasm!!!) Anyway..I waited, and then got it...REALLY BAD. But hopefully, I will start being regular. If not, screw what my mom says-I'm doing BC.
I just don't care what she thinks anymore.
