    Hey all ~

This is my first visit to this site so I'm a bit nervous about just posting my problem for all to see but here goes ...

I've recently started losing clots during my periods - today the biggest one was the size of half a 20c coin. There were a few others but that was the biggest. Sometimes they're the size of a 50c coin and sometimes they're even bigger.

I'm only 23 so I wouldn't have thought this should be happening yet but am wondering if it could be related to pregnancy/childbirth? I have 3 young children and had pretty nasty births - could this be related?

Has anyone else had experience with this? I don't want to go to the hassle of getting a gyno referral if it's just a normal symptom that no-one talks about!

    Hope that's not too grose!

I haven't had kids so I don't know if this is normal but how long have you been getting big clots like this? Is there any chance you could be pregnant and miscarrying?

I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant - we've been extremely careful with contraceptives and plus I never had my periods during my other pregnancy's... good point though!

I used to lose clots when I was a teenager and then it all calmed down again. They only started up again after I had my son, nearly 10 months ago. So I guess you could say it's been happening most periods for the last 8 months.
