Unhappy Can't stop bleeding!

Back in November, 2007, my husband and I lost our baby, we were 23 weeks along. It is now end of April, 2008, and I am still constantly bleeding, and quite heavily. My periods last at least three weeks. So, I am totally backwards, bleeding for 3 weeks, not bleeding for 1 week. Very Frustrating!!! We are trying to get pregant again, but it's kind of hard to figure out when a good time to try is, since we only have one week out of the month where we can actually have sex. Has this every happened to anyone else? My doctor said it takes time for your body to heal, etc, but 5 months? I think it's ridiculous. Any tips would be very much appreciated.
