Default Bleeding for 28 days and still counting

My period started 28 days ago, and is still going. Everytime I think it is going to end, I start cramping again, and the bleeding gets heavier. My husband and I lost our baby at 21 weeks last November, so I'm sure that the bleeding should have subsided by now. Every month since we lost her, my period last for at least three weeks. This month is totally non stop, and the cramping is getting to be very uncomfortable. I don't understand why it won't stop. Last night, I really thought my period was over, until I woke up this morning to very dark fresh red blood. My doctor says this is normal after miscarrying. Any ideas? I really don't think it should last this long. Has anyone else gone through something like this? Any ideas/suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks!

Red face

I have a doctor appointment in a couple of weeks, that was the only time they had to squeeze me in. I started spotting 28 July and still seeing blood. It is now 26 of July. When I started, I was thinking, well good my period is on, it'll go off by the end of the week, but it hasn't. It's still on. When I started spotting the color was dark brown, or darkish red color, and I would only see it if I wiped. Now, I have to wear a pad. It's starting to get slightly heavy, but not too much. I'm starting to see blood clots now.
I haven't had any crampings, that's weird because through out the years I always had cramping when my period came on. The only thing that really bothers me is that my breasts are getting sore. Sometimes I don't even want my bra on or a tight shirt, because it hurts my breasts.

I don't know what's going on with me, I'll be glade when I can get in to see the doctor. If it gets too bad I'll go to the hospital, but it hasn't so thank God!

I hope you can get some answers with your problem, I've been searching the web for some kind of answers and haven't found anything. I don't know, maybe it's just stress. I never bleed this long before.

CORRECTION: -

I started bleeding on 28 June and still seeing blood 26 July 2008.

Default

The same thing happened to my wife several years ago. They ended up putting her on birth control for a month just to get it to quit. We were trying to get her pregnant at the time, so I thought it was to put her on birth control (even if for a month), but it did fix the problem. I hope you ladies have as simple a fix as that.
Cheers.

It has been heavey and dark and I have several blood clots. We are trying to get pregnant....but how can I if all I do is bleed. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks and have a great day all.
