Default Too heavy... scared!

I'm in the middle of my first period after having an IUD inserted... and it's excessively heavy... and has been going on over a week. I'm a vegetarian too and I'm starting to worry about my iron levels.
Is this normal to go on for so long?!
Or what are some signs of anemia to look out for, has anyone ever experienced this?

Default

i dont know anything about an iud but i do know about anemia.
i have been amenic plenty of times before. what i notice is that i am always tired and get cold when its not even cold. my hands get really cold and my fingers either turn white or purple with some numbness from lack of cirrculation. i also get dizzy and start to black out. since you are a vegetarian i cant say go eat a nice steak or some sort of red meat. if i were you i would take some sort of iron pill, just make sure its not straight iron cause it will make you sick. one a day for women is a good one to take.

hope this helps a little.
