Default Abnormal bleeding/ Discharge

So im 23 yrs old and never really had any problems with abnormal periods. This last period i had was very odd. i had my cycle for 5 days then stopped for 2 then it restarted again and i have had it ever since which has been about 2 weeks now. when it started up again it was dark brown blood, now its just brown watery like discharge. No other symptoms sometimes my ovaires will hurt but thats about it. I am sexually active but in a relationship. we have unprotected sex, but he is very careful never to ejaculate in me. im not taking any types of birth controls....I did take a pregnancy test just to rule that out and well both or negative. i dont know whats causing this...havent went to the gyno yet. just curious as to what you guys think? or has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

Did you wait long enough before taking a pregnancy test? Sometimes it doesn't show up right away if you take one too soon...I might suggest taking another one a week after your period was due just to play it safe?? Maybe it is some sort of infection? (hopefully not...but I'd just check in w/ the gyno!)
