Gynecologist
Hi ladies. I went to the gynecologist on Wednesday because I had been having ovary pains which I didn't think was ovulation related, had an abnormal period, and my pap smear was due. Anyway, when she did the abdominal exam it was really, really tender. I mentioned it to her and she didn't really elaborate on it. Should I be concerned? I tried looking on-line but couldn't find anything. Any insight would be helpful.

I used to pass out and throw up after a pap. One reason of course was stress the other was extreme pain. I have had ovarian cysts and also have undiagnosed endometriosis. Which are the blood filled cysts that attach to everything. Mostly genetic. I had an ultrasound that found the cysts, which pop and you can feel them. They can leave scar tissue as well as endo can which can also cause pain. The paps got better after they put me on bc that dissolved them. They have to do laproscopy (sp) to diagnose endo. I am also small build, and was told small women have a harder time with paps and sex then other women. Good luck. Be well.
