Ok, I am a 28/f with unusual menstrual cycles. I was always pretty regular, but the past 6 months or so, my periods have been becoming increasingly later and later. I had one the end of May, didn't get one for June, started July 4th, and it is now the 18th of Aug and I still haven't got one for this month yet. I have been through countless pregnancy tests, and I know I'm not pregnant, (even though I wouldn't mind if I was), but anyway, I'm wondering, can stress really mess up your cycle that much? I can honestly say I have been under so much stress lately that I want to rip my hair out. New job, out of control son, just got a new dog and he is still NOT potty trained. I just feel like everything is piling up on me. Back to the subject, do you think that could be the cause of my messed up cycle? I haven't been to the gyno since my miscarriage about 3 yrs ago b/c I don't have insurance yet, (I will come November). But I haven't had any weird discharge or pain or anything like that. I am trying not to worry, but the later I am, the more I worry, hence the more stress I am putting myself under. Comments are very much appreciated.

    Thanks!!
    Katie

Hey there, stress can certainly affect your cycle and everything i know its done it to me and i am on the pill.... your mind can play strange tricks on your body so just try and relax and everything will be ok, take time for yourself and collect your thoughts and relax, take a bubble bath every once in a while to unwind..... just dont stress so much, your body might be telling you that you are under too much stress. good luck
Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes and then that way if they get angry they will be a mile away and barefoot
