Thread: A few questions regarding Celexa and Wellbutrin

Hi everyone,

I have been on Celexa 20mg once a day for the past 2 months. I have been doing well on it with exception of one major (in my opinion anyways) side effect. While my sex drive is still 100% there, my issue is not with the journey, but reaching the destination so to speak. I spoke with my doctor regarding this and he suggested that I switch to Wellbutrin 150mg once a day. He told me that I would not need to wean myself off the Celexa but just switch one up for the other. My question is has anyone else done this change of meds? Should I expect any withdrawl from the Celexa if another med is started in its place? I started the Wellbutrin this morning. My other question is with wondering how long until the Celexa gets out of my system and I can expect my sex life to return to normal??

Coming off SSRIs for some people is as easy and putting the tablets away. Most people feel better being weened off them but? Switching? It might make no difference. I will say that WellbrutenXL IS a better drug for sexual side effects. WELL worth seeing if it will work for you! Good luck!
