Are the two meds interfering with one another. Amitriptiiline is a mild anti depressant they seem to prescribe it for cramps, depression, pain ect. have they helped any or made things worse?

I would suggest talking to your doctor about ativan for your anxiety issues. I'm leery of anti-depressants. I know that they can work and be very beneficial, but lately anti-psychotic meds have been prescribed for anti-depression (just in smaller dosages).

Any kind of hormone therapy can cause your period to differ after you stop taking it. How is your period different now than it was while you were on the pill? Irregular? Lighter? Heavier? Longer?...

    Default psychological problems

for a couple of years i had this awful burning pain in my throat, i saw a doctor and he suggested i stop eating and drinking acidic things.
i tried asilone, gaviscon all sorts.

i then had a scope (camera down my throat) to check for any problems. nothing showed up

i then had a barium meal thing underneath an ex ray machine, still no luck.

the doctors came to the conclusion that it had to be a psychological problem, i was then referred to a pscyhologist.

we spent every friday for months talking and discussing my current issues in life, i had some sort of social phobia, i was paranoid about people looking me, i get hot and sweaty among people for no reason. excercise worsened.

now i have been discharged from the psychologist, as buring in the throat has gone.

That's good to hear that you're now free to go about being crazy in society without medical supervision!

i suffer with depression and anxiety and take Amitriptiline for anxiety and paroxetine for the depression.

considering this i have to think about what kind of life your living and do you have friends and family around to support you in every day life ?
have you been to any meditation classes for the anxiety eg breathing techniques etc?
    or tried anything natural?
been to a naturopath for a chat they usually are in chemists with a much better view than all these drugs the doctors keep giving us (that dont work and make us worses)
    have a think about it!!
    take care

    Smile mental health

i did used to go to a depression group, but i find it hard to talk to others when they are all looking at me, my mind goes blank i start to stutter, hot up and feel panicky, i cannot face that anymore.

i did do a group thing called Find Yourself, it was good, it helps with all your problems, and has relaxation sessions, it was a good group, i might consider doing it again.

    Hey Louise.

    Know what I think?

The depression group was filled with depressed people.

The Find Yourself Group were full of hopefull people, with ambition and goals, belief.

You are possitive so you've gone with the later.

Simply your not as depressed as you think you are, or else you would be able to relate to the first, not the later.

    See where your actually okay?
