I know everyone has living situation issues. My issue is that I live with someone that has OCPD. (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) and I want to know HOW I can get through to a person like this. I mean, she's over-all nice... but when it comes to almost everything she ALWAYS has something to complain about.

I have been trying to avoid this person but I can't keep avoiding my house too. I want to be able to be in peace at my house. I just feel ANYTHING I do this person will AUTOMATICALLY critize me and I grew up with an OCD family...and it drove me NUTS!

Is there anyway I can get through to her without making it seem like I'm attacking her.

Are you sure it's OCD and not some other form of psychosis?

If she's renting a room out of your house, then tell her that you'll do as you please in your own house. If you're both renting from someone else, you'll need to come to an agreement about what is acceptable behavior and what is not.

What exactly is your situation with this woman? Friends? Co-workers? Perfect Strangers?

I'm assuming you're both adults so approach this as a mature, responsible adult would.
