some of them drink, some of them dont.
none of them drink to excess.

its just so dependant on your body chemistry
but i wanted you to be aware that these things can happen.
its quite scary if it does and you go along with it thinking that its something you've thought of yourself rather than a side effect.
with me personally citalopram did nothing.

all you can do is give it a go and see if its suits.

    good luck x

Antidepressants are AMAZING little pills. I had to wait a while and take a little higher dose before mine kicked in, but it was SO worth the wait. I know exactly how you feel waiting for it to work. But it will work eventually, and you'll be so glad you did. Good luck! <3

Thank you everyone for your continued support-so far no panic attacks nor depression and very little side effects, so I am very glad about that. I cant believe it because I used to have 2 panic attacks per week and was highly depressed, I would cry about every other day about my daily life pressures..life was just overall-very difficult to handle. I still have normal stress in life(work, school, money probs), it just doesnt get to me as much as it used to.I am able to to focus and find solutions instead of falling into a deep depression with panic. For anyone considering antidepressants, try it out, it has given me new meaning to my life.

Ever since I found out I was seriously suffering from my anxiety problems- I tried to manage it all in a natural way. Been taking self help classes, eating well, and yes- exercise helps a lot too. A friend also admitted to being clinically diagnosed of her anxiety disorder and suggested I check this website that could help me about going all "natural". At first I was apprehensive. But according to her, she has stopped taking the medications ever since her sessions and although I was apprehensive at first- I must say it has tremendously help my attacks as wel

lcavin, thanks for your reply, someday I will go natural, I wanted to "try" the meds out because life was just too intense and difficult for me to even get by on a daily basis without recurring panic attacks, so my doctor immediatley wanted me to try citalopram..
I have been exercising daily and eating well, I believe this is helping me as well, being active has thankfully prevented panic attacks, I actually start to feel very low if I skip days of working out, I am addicted to fitness since I started going to the gym again

My meds saved my life...boy, was I down in the dumps. Started on Lexapro...went to Prozac, and now on Effexor. People are different and so are people on meds. You can't depend on what one person says about how they reacted to a certain med. Your reaction may be totally different. I don't like the thought of taking meds, but I sure didn't like how I was feeling. I am lucky to have found a doctor that would listen to me, and not just hear me.

i had to stop taking mine, too many side effects, like, not waking up! and dry mouth with headaches. it's hard to find natural balances, but i'm trying to be more physically active. and getting a little more sunshine, minus all the sunscreen, a few minutes here and there. writing about my feelings has helped alot. i've tried anti-depressants twice, and probably could try some more, but right now the side effects seem to outweigh everything else. i don't want to be crashed out, i've got a family to care for. bills to pay. so i was remembering a time i felt better, and i was more active. i'm trying to find new things i like, and do the things i like more, with the family involved. and sometimes not. hope you are hanging in there, and continue to exercise. it makes a big difference!
