Mild Depression Since Age 12
|
|
I've had mild to moderate depression since I was 12 years old and I'm now 22 going on 23. My depression was brought on by a combination of events but it was mainly having to deal with having to go through back surgery at such a young age and then being teased and harassed at school. I tried the whole therapy thing but it didn't help. Due to the depression I have discovered that I major trust issues with guys and I've only got 3 guy friends that I trust completely. I've chosen not to take any anti-depression pills because of the side affects. Normally if I listen to music then it usually helps me to over come whatever is causing me to feel depressed. I admit I tried killing myselt twice when I was younger and I haven't tried since. Is there any other ways of overcoming the times where I'm depressed without taking any pills?
