My bf is trying to tell me I have a problem. I guess I've been giving excuses that ' all women love to shop' to justify spending 100s of dollars on beauty products, specifically anti-aging that I don't even need. But I don't see it as a problem, when certain products don't work for me..I buy new ones. I guess I'm a product junkie yes, but I don't see myself as a shopping addict.

When I think of something as a problem, it is normally when it is effecting my daily life. Are you spending money on new beauty products and then finding that you have no money for food or can't pay your bills. If you have this much spare money than it is up to you what you spend it on. My b/f is into computers and buys a new computer every 6-8 months, buys games and programmes for it and accessories...but it's not a problem as he has the money that allows him to do this.

I agree with Wiki_Panda. An addiction is something that interferes with living your life. If you've got the money and the time, you should be able to do what you want with it - he's your boyfriend, not your husband or father!
On the flip side, if that boyfriend becomes your husband, he may have a say in what you do with that money. Do you have any savings? Does he? Maybe throw a little of your shopping money into a savings account if you don't already, it will show responsibility on your part and maybe you can go on a shopping spree with it when it gets to be a large sum!

Thanks so much guys! *whew* so glad I don't need an intervention just yet. I guess he was just trying to suggest that I budget my funds a little better because I'm still living at home with mom, and I need to save up for my own place..so I guess he's looking out for our best interest. THANKS!

There is one way out of buying products that don't work and then trying another

Firstly don't believe everything you see on TV you know it's advertising, and secondly do you have Myers and places like that where you live? They often have samples to try, or at least in the shop, you can use some cream and wake up the next day and see if it is still absorbed or your skin feels softer, granted you won't see if any wrinkles are going away but hey at your age you don't need to

The best honestly products are the cheaper ones that have been around for years and years and years why? Because they wouldn't be if they were no good. Regardless of the initial marketing. Nivea for instance is just as good as anything else.

Do you believe in natural products?

Olive oil under the eyes is brilliant, I swear by it and have been using it for 20 odd years.

Alovera plant, is not just good for cuts and bruises but also for the skin.

Cut cucumbers or potatoes over the eyes for 10 minutes definately reduces bags under the eyes if you have a late night.

Given you want to move out and get your own place, start googling natural products and givev them a go you'll save more than $100's of dollars
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.

Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
    you must believe!
