Thread: How to beat depression

aw come on. what ya do well? are you artisitc? musical? poetic? are you good at dodge ball? are you intensely loyal to your family? are you good at soduko?

here's my 10:

1. I love my kids no matter what. don't always like them, but that's true for any parent.

2. I am fiercely loyal to people I care about.

3. I always try to do the right thing by people and help them out however I can, especially for those I don't necessarily like too much.

4. I always look for and usually find new ways of doing things better at work.

5. I always speak up when I see things that aren't right. "he who stands for what is right, usually stands alone" could be a tattoo I'd have.

6. I'm kinda smart (in some areas). 710 math SAT, pilot, motorcyclist, radio geek, computers & all sorts of other technical capabilities.

7. I tossed away chances for promotion on several occasions to take stands on issues I believe in.

8. I have received numerous awards for stuff I have done at work.

9. People who haven't worked for me for over 15 years still call me and ask for advice and help.

10. I'm worried about a friend getting hurt or messing up her marriage because of me. I'd rather have her be mad at me, than be with me and all of the baggage that comes with me regardless of the fact that I have feelings for her.
