Default Does anyone feel this way???

I am 19 years old and I am a bit of a hypochondriac. This past summer I thought I had a brain tumor because I thought I was experiencing all the symptoms of one like vomitting, nausea, imbalanced walking, and a weakness feeling. I basically had a nervous breakdown and when I went to my family doctor, he said from the start that I did not have one but I was still not convinced, so my doctor felt it was nescessary to order a CAT scan to finally put this at rest for my sake. So the test results came back normal and I have been better. I've been eating better now and have not been vomitting or feeling imbalanced. However sometimes I still think I have one because I might experience a little nausea and vomitting and one little pain on my body and I feel like I have something seriously wrong with me. Is it possible I could be experiencing these symptoms because I am so paranoid that I could be making myself feel actual physical pain, vomitting, nausea and flashing color spots in my eyes due to stress and anxiety. It gets really frusturating and I am sick if thinking I have something wrong with me.

Please respond fast!

Hi Sara,

I don't think you feel this way by coincidence. There is a disease, it's commonly referred to as "EII". It is Emotionally Induced Illness. It is possible that you are afflicted with this disease. Basically it is similar to paranoia in some ways, but it does not manifest itself as paranoia in that it always presents itself as a devastating disease (paranoia presents itself as anything going to get you...EII is a particular disease or diseases in general, but overwhelmingly limited to diseases, not co-workers, or police or something else that would be covered by general paranoia).

If you are afflicted by this disease, it's bad news. The good news is that you can do something about it. You can overcome EII. It's totally up to you to overcome. All you have to do is: 1) Get checked out physically to eliminate any cause of what you are feeling, and 2) Once this physical check eliminates any physical cause, you just need to understand that it's your mind playing tricks on you and then you can counteract it.

If this turns out to be the case with you and you'd like more info on this, please feel free to pm me. I think you're going to be ok.
Cheers.

I understand what you mean but apparently theres a name for the type I am...I'm a 'cyberchondriac' I'd much rather diagnose myself first by looking on the internet than see a real doctor. And this usually means that when something actually is wrong with me I assume its me being a hypochondriac
